Safety, structure, and

parent peace of mind

Camp Americana is built on safety. Every aspect of our program prioritizes your child’s well-being.

  • Tight Ratios: 1 staff per 6 campers (even smaller for younger groups).

  • Active Supervision: Staff are always present in each zone (indoor, outdoor, lunch).

  • Secure Pickup: Children released only to authorized adults.

  • First-Aid Ready: Kits and trained staff on-site at all times.”

Safety at Camp Americana is not just a policy — it is a daily operating system.

We do not rely on luck, loose supervision, or “good kids.”

We rely on a system: tight ratios, active supervision, named zones, and secure handoff.

Camp Safety + Supervision

Supervision Model
  • Active supervision, clear zoning, constant headcounts, controlled check-in/check-out, and first-aid readiness.

  • Supervision is based on line of sight, line of hearing, and active staff movement — not passive presence.

Ratios
  • Core day program: about 1 adult for every 7 campers

  • Younger cohorts, new groups, or field trips use enhanced supervision mode.

Supervision Model
  • Napo Garden is divided into clear supervision zones: arrival zone, indoor studio zone, quiet/reset zone, pickup zone.

  • Each zone has a named supervising adult, and every transition triggers a headcount.
